About us

Ollie the Trolley has been an Omaha staple since 1985. Deb Skinner and George Davis purchased the business from Jim and Colleen Sarascany. Their story began back in the 1978, when they met in Arizona while working at the Grand Canyon. Jim was the minibus manager and Coleen sold mule rides.  They married and started a family, living in Grand Canyon National Park.  Eventually, they arrived back in Omaha, Colleen’s hometown.

The bus business was in Jim’s blood as he worked for school bus companies and over-the-road coach businesses. His dream was to put his 30 years of experience to use by owning his own business.  That dream came true when he purchased Ollie the Trolley in 2003.  Frank Olsen, the previous owner, had a successful operation of 3 trolleys.  Jim expanded the business to include 8 trolleys.  He retired from the business in September 2014.

Deb Skinner and George Davis are the proud owners and are Omaha’s foremost facilitators of fun! When we contacted a business brokerage company called The Firm to find our dream business, George chose Transportation as the business category, because of his background in Transportation that includes a stint as a Presidential appointee in the George H. Bush Administration at the Federal Department of Transportation. Additionally, George spent six years with the Union Pacific Railroad learning railroading and trucking, and 3 years with Federal Express. George loves transportation!
